Can I file a paypal dispute if something arrives incredibly late?

Wonderball asked:

I recently made a purchase from a gold farmer company for the MMO game I play. I was told the order would be filled within 24 hours. It’s now been almost a week and they ask for another 24 hour extension every day. Paypal says you may file a dispute is something is not as described. So let’s say they deliver my virtual currency eventually, can I file a paypal dispute after I get it to try and get a refund for the poor service?

If there is a promised fulfillment time of 24 hours and that is not upheld you can file a complaint with PayPal. There is a time line as far as how long you have to wait before you can file a claim. I think you have to wait 10 days before you can file a claim and you have up to 45 days.

This is entirely up to you but I would at least give the company a deadline to meet and give them that ultimatum if they do not deliver you will go through PayPal. Most of the time companies are willing to work with you without having to involve a mediator, especially one that is vital to the business and keeps a track record of how they handle transactions.

Unfortunately, PayPal does not allow you to dispute intangible items (virtually delivered goods). Whether you open a non-receipt case or a not as described case, the case will be voided out. Now lets say you bought tickets for a basketball game and they finally delivered the day after the game, yes you could file not as described against that since those were time sensitive and now they are completely useless. Your best bet here is to post a bad review about the company if the item is real late on a website like RipOff.com or BBB.org. If you never receive your merchandise, then you’ll want to file a chargeback with the credit card company that you paid for the item with.

    I Hope This Helps!
