Belize – Guatemala Border Crossing and Money Exchange

Here we see that crossing the border between Belize and Guatemala takes some time and money. Make sure you bring enough cash, for there are no ATM or cash points- and the only way to exchange money at the border are with men on the street with literally wads of money. Then there are the official fees and just when you think you are done, you go across a river on a bridge and yet some more money is asked! In any event, it is well worth it to see Tikal, which is lovely.
